There's no way to avoid it—you must speak well to succeed.  Effective communication is critical to project manager success. Your ability to masterfully deliver memorable presentations is a must. Like any skill, the knack for powerful presentations can be learned, so even the most fainthearted presenter can deliver information with confidence and credibility. In this course, you will be able to:
  • Demonstrate an ability to plan what to include in a presentation and how to structure it
  • Prepare and deliver a presentation across different audiences
  • Speak with passion and authenticity
  • Establish rapport with any audience
  • Engage the audience so you talk "with" them, not "at" them
  • Recognize how to translate project management vernacular into business language
  • Adapt your speaking skills for a virtual audience
This highly-interactive course provides simple tools and techniques to fine-tune your delivery and maximize your impact on the audience.

What You Will Learn

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify what makes presentation effective and recognize what to avoid
  • Explain techniques and demonstrate an ability to plan what to include in a presentation and how to structure it
  • Explain the importance of practice and preparation to ensure effective delivery
  • List what to consider to make sure the venue for a presentation is prepared and describe the different types of visual aids that can be used
  • Recognize how to apply different delivery techniques when delivering in person vs. virtually
