The business case, both as a product and a process, provides decision makers, stakeholders and the public with a management tool for evidence based and transparent decision making and a framework for the delivery, management and performance monitoring of the resultant schem. There is a heavy emphasis on the product of the business case development, rather than the processes that can damage business case development. Creating a business case development process based upon an iterative stage-gate model and the use of best practices may increase both the quality and trustworthiness of the business case, while allowing the organization to end any business cases that are of little value as quickly as possible. This seminar is a full two-day simulation where participants actively engage in the planning and developing of a business case in a project environment with heavy emphasis on the need for tailoring, agile and adaptations for the project manager and the application of best practice knowledge of mastering the business case. It’s all about quality in the process of the project and the process of developing the business case to ensure high quality products, business case or project deliveries.
